About the group

Folks Singing is a new singing group, open to everyone, learning folk songs, mainly from the 1960s and 1970s, by artists such as Donovan, Dylan, Peter Paul & Mary, The Seekers, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Marley, Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez and many more.  All songs are arranged in harmony, usually in three or four parts, and are sung a cappella, so no instruments, just voices.  No experience is necessary as all songs are taught line by line, by ear.

Sessions are on Tuesdays in term time, from 12.30-1.45pm in St Mark's Church, Oliver's Battery Rd South, SO22 4EU.  There is parking around the shops and side roads.

The first session of this term is on Tuesday 19th September, 2017 at 12.30pm.

Sessions are £5 a week on the day, or terms are £40 (£4 a session) in advance.
